Amplitube 4 free download full version2/20/2024 There's a fairly long gap in the recording between the two amplifier models. My playing is not 100% clean, but you get the idea. Whereas if I recorded without effects (Audacity) it would sound pretty normal. The first time through is with a clean Brit 8000 amplifier model and the second time is with a Red Pig amplifier model. In both cases, this is the YEV-104 electric violin with a Fishman Aura pedal (Heberlein Amati with Shure SM57 image) and AmpliTube4. It's a little long (twice through with two different amplifier simulators). But because this post was about the YEV-104 with AmpliTube4 I made a recording of Rye Straw again. I could have recorded it without an amplifier simulator (e.g. It sounds more like a normal violin / fiddle. The YEV-104 definitely sounds better with the pedal than without. I received the pedal, bought the upgrade and downloaded violin images. Sort of "sneaks" metronome practice in on me. I keep the whole tangle of wires and blinking boxes on my coffee table and jam along whenever I get a moment. My latest obsession with electric violin is a little set-up I've been playing with where I run a drum-machine and a little synth sequencer (Korg Volca's) into my Pre-Sonis Audio box, and then run the headphone out into my Aux in on the Yamaha violin, then play along through headphones. It's a good way (personally for me anyway) to really focus on a technique or phrase. ![]() (especially late at night or early in the morning). I've tried a few, the downside is I can get a little "hiss" even if I adjust the gains way down etc.Īnyway, good luck on your endeavor, I really enjoy playing along to things with my headphones on my electric. The other thing you may try on the cheap is just a guitar effect eq pedal. I don't think the YEV has these though (?) Mostly, 95% of the time I just use the headphone out and the Aux in when I want to play along with a track or something. It's ok, and provides a little EQ and "warming" up of the tone. The cheapest (and no where near the best) thing I found for "Acoustic-ing up" a piezo violin, is the Behringer V-tone Acoustic Driver DI AD121. When I play out I always play normal fiddles unamplified. ![]() I tried out a Fishman Loudbox Mini amplifier and I really like the size and the sound. I want to try a real loop pedal (local store is suggesting Ditto) to try live looping. ![]() I do have a few other pieces of gear on my wish list. That actually works for some slower stuff like waltzes and hymns. There are other amp simulators that have quite a bit of reverb that sound more like an electric organ. This same amplifier on High Sensitivity sounds more like an electric guitar. That's pretty much required for fast tunes. The is a normal clean sound with little reverb. I am trying this for two reasons: (1) to be able to practice with headphones and not annoy my wife, and (2) to just play around with the amplifier simulator, trying different sounds for fun.Īttached is a recording of Rye Straw with that setup using the "Brit 8000" amplifier model set on Low Sensitivity. So the only instrument-specific thing I bought was the AmpliTube 4 amplifier simulator software. ![]() Note that most of that stuff (digital sound interface, studio monitors, headphones) can be considered general purpose computer audio equipment.
